| Hey everyone, I have a new graphics card, everything new installed (drivers, directx 9b, etc) and it seems like my graphics kind of lag...like I loaded a new screen saver from Microsoft Plus! (the fish tank one) and it seems like it...just lags...anyone have any suggestions to help everything run smoothly?

| Perhaps you could tone down you system settings and display properties.

try changing your display from 32 bit to 16 bit...this should solve you problem, and it is putting 1/2 less stress on your vid card then is necessary.
I just recently made the switch from 32 bit to 16 bit...and there is hardly a difference in icons and wallpapers...a very live-withable difference.

I agree with chaf3d on one point: 16 bit vs. 32 bit is difficult to differentiate between; however, the remark about it working 1/2 as much is not quite correct. 16 bit and 32 bit are 'exponential differences' not geometric or algebraic differences!
As for the source problem, the card, CPU and RAM set-up would be nice to know here!

I usually recommend 24 bits on newer systems if available. That's the same color depth as 32 bits, actually. The added 8 bits are just for alpha blending.

That's what I'm curious about. In the old days of 98 and such setting your colors to 16bit was a tweak because graphic cards and pc's were low end compared to now, but with the speed of cpus and the amount of RAM graphics cards and pcs have it's a moot point now.

Completely agree, Mno, but I had no clue whether Nedlar was running a 'legacy system' or not!
