The MSN team is working on a Toolbar for IE. It looks very similar to the Google Toolbar.
The new Toolbar will enable you to search the web from any page, a highlighter to mark words that you searched for, quick links to launch MSN Hotmail, MSN Messenger, and My MSN. It will also include Popup Gaurd (Pop-up Stopper).
Check it out here: http://toolbar.msn-int.com

Yes. But I am sure you realise that the vast majority of users still use IE as their Browser of choice.

I would not call it choice on the majority. I would call it a lack of know how on firebird and the act of switching. I am sure that there are quite a number of diehard IE.......uh users, lol(NO OFFENSE ) Once you see the light(Firebird)...Its real hard to go back in the dark, lmao

True. I have both installed, and really with the Google Toolbar and SpywareBlaster installed, I find it very hard to convince anyone to switch to Mozilla Firebird. Even a tweaker like myself cannot find a good enough reason to get someone to switch from IE to any other browser. Let's face it, IE has everything that most PC users need or want.

Another thing I have noticed is that the few people that I know that did switch to Firebird, they have all since switched back to IE. Read what you will from that, but from my observations, it is going to take more than Mozilla Firebird to overhaul IEs dominance of Web Browsers. Mozilla Firebird and many other browsers do not give the average user a good enough reason to switch. Remember Netscape. I vaguely remember that Browser getting praised.

| I feel sorry for Mr.Gates, this is a total copycat of google toolbar, also those hotmail and messenger buttons are really unnecessary. By the time XP SP2 comes out this MSN toolbar will become less useful. Could be a handy for win98/ME/2000 users.
