Hello To all,

Yesterday marked the 3rd hardrive to fail in 6 months. This one not even 2 years old none of them were. I was able to recover data from the first 2. At the time were both going out at the same time.
Every test run said that everything hardware related is withion tolerances
This latest 1TB HD that has been hoding onto stuff longer then its been in service. Now wont even give me the time of day. I cant even get it to show up in bios setup. the day before A popup flashed saying something is corruptor error reported from the drive, disconnected itself from the tree and I need to rebuild the entire Pagefile. Windows did this. The next time i was looking at the PC the drive was gone.

Just a few minute ago the system locked up again. It has done this plenty in the past and was thought to be resolved when some ram was replaced. This latest error is one many. IS it possible the MoBo is going out? and it just cant be detected. Ine other error is about the system not being raid and unable to reset raid 0.

Any ideas solving whats killing of my PC little by little piece by piece.
Thanks
Olin

Only once have I heard of a similar situation. I gave him a new sata cable which resolved his problem. Didn't make any sense to me but for him it worked. BTW he told me he replaced the sata cable every time he replaced the drive.

SpinRite has worked absolute magic for my failing hard disks. Only once it did not work and I had to format the drive and do a clean install.
