| Sky is telling me that there is something on my laptop causing problems with my download speeds. Do I need to post an HJT log and if so, where? Thanks guys.

Thank you, Richie, I did that but this was the result;
Resetting Echo result, failed.
Access is denied.
There's no user specified settings to be reset.
Couldn't copy and past from the command box for some reason but the above is word for word what was said.

Hi Tremor
Try down loading one file at a time. I seem to get better results D/L'ing one file at a time.

OK, I ran the prog and everything seems to be ok.
the trouble was, CW, that the d/l's would just stop and I was constantly trying to finish d/l's. It took 8 hours to d/l a 250mb file yesterday.
Thanks guys!

Dammit! lol I'm still getting God awful download speeds. I know it could be a multitude of different things - like having a crap line, ISP (Sky) etc. but a Roxio update is transferring at between 1.2kb's - 2.3kb's. Anything else in general that I can try????

See if this helps at all:
Click on Start>All Programs>Accessories>Run,type regedit into the 'Open:' space, then press OK
Navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings
In the right hand pane, double click on the value MaxConnectionsPerServer
In the opening Edit DWORD Value box, make sure "Decimal" is selected under "Base".
Then under "Value data:",edit that to read 10
Press OK when you've done.
Then do exactly the same with the value MaxConnectionsPer1_0Server
Restart your pc when you've done.

| Ok, there's no MaxConnectiosn string. However, I ran the FixIt prog twice in a row and that appears to have sorted out the problem (I think). Could I be missing other strings that should be there and is there anything I can do to fix that possibility? Cheers!
