I'm new to writing any kind of batch files... in fact, I just had the idea to create a batch file because I don't want to have to do manually what I am needing to do.
Long story short, I just dumped nearly 70gb worth of mp3's/wma's back onto my computer from where I did a reinstall on a new hard drive. Problem is due to other circumstances all of the audio files have had their chronological ordering taken away. Also, for some God-only-knows reason, all of the system files such as "Folder.jpg", "Desktop.ini", etc. that are supposed to be hidden... aren't hidden.
I just want to create a batch file (or two if need be to keep it simple) that can correct these problems so I don't have to go through each folder manually to fix it.
Thanks.

Open My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > View > check "Do Not Show Hidden Files and Folders". > OK. That should fix the hidden issue.
On the ordering, you can make any folder date-ordered by clicking View > Details, then click the "Date Modified" column header. If they come out in the reverse order that you want them, click it again. Then under Folder Options > View again, click "Apply to all folders". Hopefully, all your folders now will appear date-ordered.
I'm hoping that you didn't mean that the files themselves lost their attributes, such as date created or modified. When you right-click an individual file and click "Properties", are the dates created and modified still correct?
