Disable Spybot S&D’s protection if you have it enabled,or it will interfere.
You can enable it after you're clean.

Open Spybot and click on 'Mode' and check 'Advanced Mode'.
Click on 'Tools' in bottom left hand corner.
Click on the 'System Startup' icon.
Uncheck 'Teatimer' box and/or uncheck 'Resident'.
Click the 'Allow Change' box.
Then, check next to the computer clock to see if the icon for Spybot is still there.
If it is, right click it and choose 'exit Spybot-S&D Resident'.
Restart the computer.
If you find you're experiencing problems disabling Spybot's Tea-Timer,follow the info in the link below:

5. A pop up box will appear advising this process will permanently delete files from your system.
6. Click "OK" and it will scan and clean your system.

* Now click on the 'Registry' tab/button on the left.
* Then click on the 'Scan for issues' button at the bottom.
* If CCleaner displays any issues, click on 'Fix selected issues'.
* You'll then be asked 'Do you want to backup changes to the registry',you must click 'YES'.

I got all the way to HostsXpert and when I clicked on Restore MS Host File I got the following message:

Error: Cannot create C:/Windows/System32/drivers/ETC/hosts

Please advise, I have not gone to the Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool yet.

OK when I ran the Kaspersky tool it came up with nothing to delete. That getaspx box hasn't opened today, perhaps the last few things we did worked. I'll post back if it returns.

Thanks,
Scott

I checked with Yahoo! and they have no idea what to do... I have more info though...

It only occurs when I use Firefox.
It only happens in Yahoo! Mail.

It seems that it's an interclick program, when I ran Yahoo Spy it was listed as a removable cookie.. I removed it, but the box still appears intermittently..

Any thoughts?

Scott
