Hi Richie,
I did get another blue screen; I'm hoping it was just an anomaly...
Here's what the message was (it started mid-sentence; don't know how much preceded it that didn't show up on my screen):
"for any windows updates you might need.
Run the driver verifier against any new (or suspect) drivers. If that doesn't reveal the corrupting driver, try enabling special pool."
That's as far as I got as we have been having a lot of brown-outs in the area - but the next part I was about to get was re: Safe Mode instructions.
So I'm wondering what you think?
Thanks. :-)

If you have not tried the following yet then i suggest you do.
If you have the Microsoft Windows XP installation disk.
First backup any important data, then reformat the drive and clean install the operating system.
How to format your hard drive and install Windows XP from scratch:

| Disappointing, but necessary, I guess? We just had this done in a shop not quite four months ago. :-(
