Thanks for that, i read the whole manual and came across the topic on lan device which should be present in the advanced menu in bios but no such menu exists now, does this mean i have no onboard lan or because i have to ethernet card this option is not seen? I am confused

Have you disabled it before? It would probably be under "ONBOARD" or similar title.

How can i disable it? I did not need this till date, so am confused whether my m/board has onboard lan or not!!
