I have an Evo 600c laptop Pentium 3 with Windows 200 Pro OS.

I want to Format the Hard Drive and upgrade to XP.  It won't let me format.  Tells me another utility disk is viewing the drive.  TASK Mgr. says nothing else is running.  Any Ideas??

Your EVO may be running something llke Ghost. I've found that booting to a disk like Partition Commander is necessary to delete the partition then installing WinXP works when I've needed it.
