I dont know if I am posting this in the correct place but here goes.
Just lately I have been trying to download my emails via Outlook without much success. When I open Outlook it is set to automatically download the emails. It starts to download but never finishes downloading. As I type this it is downloading 226 kb of emails and has been sitting on 1.2kb for some time and this will only rise very slowly. I do not have a problem opening the emails on the 1&1 webmail site but I cannot get them through Outlook.
Can anyone help?

What version of outlook are you using? Outlook 2002 and newer have a Check Settings button in their configuration page. Try that if you have it.
If all else fails, delete the account and create a new one. You will not lose your existing emails.
