Today, Windows Update just informed me SP3 was available for download. Should I update? I'm afraid of bugs and driver problems. Remember when SP2 came out ? Thanks

| Yes, I understand, but what about the bugs and drivers? Can we expect any problems?

Sorry, thought my above answer was clear. No, you should not expect any problems. Yes, you should install SP3.

| I finally installed SP3 on my laptop and had no issues so far. I must admit I'm still not sure I will install it on my main home computer. I might test it for a while on the laptop. I have read so many negative issues about SP3. As for SP2 when it first appeared, I think it would be wise to wait until Microsoft fixes all the bugs. There will surely be a lot.

I have it installed on 2 machines, an XP Home and on a Media Center Edition with no issues. I was kind of let down when the scrolling bar at start up didn't change colors like it did from SP1's green to SP2's blue.

I also have it installed on 2 XP Home PCs with no problems. I have heard there has been some problems with installing XP3 on an HP/Compaq with an AMD (non INTEL) processor. Has something to do with the OEM OS install done by HP. I believe the problem and fix was reported on DSL Reports - but not sure!
