Hi everyone. I'm a new member and I was hoping that some of you guys could help me please? I have a recurring Trojan.Proxy.Lager.F that keeps popping up when my wife logs on to XP.

Spyware Doctor keeps deleting it but it keeps coming back. I assume that I need to manually delete the entries in the Registry but I don't know what to delete. (I'm an intermediate user).

This is what I have done so far....
Updated Spybot, Ad-aware, Norton Anti-Virus and Spyware Doctor. Turned off System Restore and rebooted in safe mode.

I ran all of the above programes and Spydoctor found and deleted Trojan.Proxy.Lager.F.

I then rebooted and loggin in on my wifes login. Moments later Spydoctor reports that it has deleted the trojan.

If someone knows how I can permenently get rid of this little nasty then I would be very grateful.

Cheers

Welcome

Download and install HijackThis 1.99.1.

Launch Hijack This and select "Do a System Scan only". When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change to "Save Log". Now press the "Save Log" button, and save the log to your desktop. Then copy and paste that log into the Hijack This Logs forum, not here.
