Hi
Have just finished re-installing all my programs on my new computer.I have always used Clone cd and Clone dvd and have had no trouble. Thought I would upgrade, no problem except when using regedit I notice a software item under the name of Zepter software.. I am sure that item was not thereprior to upgrade of the 2 programs mentioned. Have uninstalled them, tried everything to get rid of Zepter. Have even e-mailed Elaboratebytes and Slysoft but no reponse. Nothing I have tried will get rid of it. Searched google -no go. Would appreciate, when time permits if Richie or the other guru's could assist.
Regards

First create a new System Restore point, just as a precautionary measure. Click on Start>Run,type regedit then press Enter. Navigate to and delete: HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1409082233-115176313-725345543-1003\Software\Zepter Software Exit regedit when you've done, reboot. What's happening now please.

| Try this: Download The Avenger from the link below: http://swandog46.geekstogo.com/avenger.zip Unzip/extract it to your desktop. Start up Avenger. Check the 'Input script manually' option. Click the Magnifying Glass icon. In the box that opens, copy, then paste all the following bold text: Registry keys to delete: HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1409082233-115176313-725345543-1003\Software\Zepter Software Then click on 'Done'. Click the Traffic Light icon to start the program. Then press OK at the prompts to reboot your PC. Post the Avenger output.txt, which you can find at C:\Avenger\.txt

Ok,in the registry, navigate to the following Key: HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1409082233-115176313-725345543-1003 Click the "+" sign to the left of the key: S-1-5-21-1409082233-115176313-725345543-1003 Now you're going to have to edit each sub key's 'Permissions'. Right click on each sub key 'Permissions'. Take 'Full Control' and delete them. When you've done all the sub key's,delete the key: S-1-5-21-1409082233-115176313-725345543-1003 Exit regedit, reboot.

| Don't go any further with that. Download and run the last freeware version of JV16 PowerTools, look for 'Zepter' down the list, remove it if present, then run the registry cleaner option: jv16 PowerTools 1.3 Also remove if present: Elaboratebytes/Slysoft/Clone cd and Clone dvd. Let me know how you got on please.
