Go ahead and try to reinstall quickplay (no need to uninstall first) if you like.

RE: hp pavillion laptop .....can't turn on or adjust volume from quickplay convienience buttons

I looked, no yellow or red symbols. And to do a factory restore, there has to be a partitioned drive I think. and there is none so I believe the drive was wiped thewn the windows 7 installed? Does that sound right? How about if i uninstall the quickplay and reinstall it? What do you think? thanks.

RE: hp pavillion laptop .....can't turn on or adjust volume from quickplay convienience buttons

Look in device manager - any yellow or red symbols?

My guess is you may be relegated to the icon, unless you have the ability (and desire) to do a "factory restore" (which would, of course, take you back to Vista).

RE: hp pavillion laptop .....can't turn on or adjust volume from quickplay convienience buttons

i did sys restore and no joy. You should NEVER use any registry cleaners. See if there is an undo or restore feature in the app. If not, you can try system restore.

hp pavillion laptop .....can't turn on or adjust volume from quickplay convienience buttons

I have a HP DV 6000 laptop and for some reason, i don't know what, none of the quick play buttons at the top of the laptop keyboard work. this happened after I did a "clean up" scan with Auslogics boost speed. Now I have to click on the Quickplay icon in the programs list or the desktop icon to run the program and do it all from there. Anyone have any idea how to fix this issue? Any help will be greatly appreciated. I have a HP pavvillion dv 6000 running windows 7. It came from factory with vista but has been upgraded to windows 7 to run better? thanks very much.
