This works fine.

I am looking at the required work to change XP for the RC of Win7 and once I get my pre-ordered copy of Home or Pro (not sure of the finances yet)and then replace the RC with the full fat version.

I understand that the XP partition will need formatting before I install Win7 but my concern is that as XP was installed first I will loose the boot record and Vista will not be seen. Yes I know people will say don't bother with Vista but I currently use it too much so need a transition period.

Many thanks for you anticipated input.

Win 7 testers, your beta is about to expire
If you’re one of those Windows 7 testers still running the Beta — and not the Release Candidate — of Microsoft’s next-generation client, it’s time to get the lead out.
http://blogs.zdnet.com/microsoft/?p=3151

Windows 7 Build 7127 or Build 7100

Hey everyone, Just as the topic line states there was a version 7127 released on torrent sites. I'm aware that only official Microsoft downloads are considered "safe". But i wanted to know if anyone has used this build and seen any improvements over the official RC 7100. Or is this build just a fake and loaded with spyware?

10 fake updates for Windows 7
Microsoft will roll out a series of fake patches for Windows 7, as it begins to test the Automatic Updates feature.
pcpro.co.uk/news

Windows 7 'to launch in October, RTM August'

Windows 7 will ship to PC makers in August:
http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/news/index.cfm?newsid=115670

Windows 7 RC released

Windows 7 Release Candidate
Download instructions:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/download.aspx

Free Windows 7 to end early with shut downs

Release Candidate to nag users from March 2010
Microsoft has announced that the Windows 7 Release Candidate (RC) will automatically shut down on a regular basis months before the final public preview is due to expire next year.
http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/news/index.cfm?newsid=115455

On Tuesday, May 5 (PST), the RC will be available.

I just got this e-mail from MS.
On Tuesday, May 5 (PST), the RC will be available to everyone via our Customer Preview Program. I have AVG Free installed, and as default Windows Defender is running. I'm just wondering if there's the possibility of any conflicts having both running? I should mention I did not install the Link Scanner part of AVG Free. I have not seen any problems so far, but am just wondering about it.
Any thoughts?
