Can someone track/trace a IP for me

Hi all,

I am still running some tests as advised by richieUk in regards to my gf's pc well her hotmail/facebook being hacked into.

The other day the hacker emailed me from my gf's email address.

this is the source with the originating ip (same in both emails)

We have our suspicions on who hacked her however as the person has said he is a old school pupil & from the same area as my gf, can someone who knows a bit about tracking a ip help me out,

Iv managed to get 2 results from that source 1 is in new york & the other is austrailia

does anyone know if any of the results can be or are related to any ISP'S in the Uk so we can complain in case any money from accounts goes missing?as I think maybe a keylooger is at work and wnat to be sure before formatting.
or isit that the hacker is just a friend of the person who knows my gf.

I tried a ip test with my cousins ip address & it stated eg ' btbroadband.

Inconsistent Internet Connection

Hello,

We recently added a wireless router to our computer and between that and maybe some other problem, our internet connection has been lousy.

Our main computer, a desktop, is connected directly to the cable modem and then wireless router. On any given day, the internet connection for Mozilla and IE are inconsistent. Our AIM works fine and remains connected despite the internet not connecting.

We have restarted the computer, restarted both the modem and the wireless router and gone through the IE diagnostic tool which eithers detects nothing wrong or a concern with the firewalls.

I have absolutely no idea what to do. Currently, I am using my laptop, wired wirelessly, and have absolutely no problem connecting to the Internet.

Outlook 2007 and Windows Live Mail

I am now using Outlook 2007 for my emails. I use a POP3 email account and a Windows Live Mail for my default account. The Live Mail is sent to Outlook through a connect programme from Microsoft. Do I require to keep the Live Mail programme on my computer and also can someone give me some advice on how to transfer my old emails from Live to Outlook. Thanks in advance.

I have a PC running XP which I use as a server to hold all my files and have another 6 PCs connected to it. I want to create usernames for the 6 other PCs with passwords so I can decide which files each one can access. How can I do this?

POP3 set up for all mail ( including old) but only new mail comes into account

I've set up an old e-mail account to transfer everything via Pop3 to a Gmail account, including old messages.

The new account is also set to bring all old and new e-mail into the new account. Only new e-mail is coming in though. How can I fix this, even though all the settings appear to be correct?

I need all that old e-mail to move to the new account, too, but it's not happening.

2 Connections, is there a way to make it select a specific connection

Hi, i was wondering is the was some way of getting my laptop and computer to prefer a connection whilst they are connected via both Wireless and Wired

They are both connected to my wireless network, which is only G, so not very fast, but i do a bit of data transfer between the two, and tried plugging them together with a Gigabit Ethernet wire, which worked, but today when i was using them, i noticed it was transferring using the wireless, even though they were plugged in via Ethernet

So is there some way to get them to always transfer files using the ethernet whilst it is plugged in, so far the easiest way i can find is turn off the wireless on the laptop, but that also loses my internet connection whilst it happens

My computer is Vista Ultimate x64

Laptop is XP Pro x32

i can provide any other info needed

Internet Explorer 8 problems

One of the computers in our office is having serious issues with Internet Explorer 8. Every time she goes into a web page, she will get the "internet explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close" message. The next message is the "webpage has expired" page. This happens nearly every single time she goes into a website, yet none of the other computers with IE8 are doing this. Can you help? Thanks! Alison

PC to Phone call

I tried the card from two computers at my home, otherside cannot hear me while I do. Hardwares are working fine(mute is not selected either). The same card when I use from devices outside my home(e.g. internet cafe), both side can hear each other. Seems to me something related to network. I checked the firewall setting and found the application in the exception list.

Need some help.

FlyFF - McAfee On Access Protection Help

I have been trying to edit Access Protection rules to configure the game FlyFF to work.
I have succeeded in preventing block for a few files. But cause of a few files being blocked by Access Protection I cannot get it to work.

But when I run, it still shows the same things. Why is this so?

Firewalls behind firewalls: are they needed

I've got a network of 9 computers connected to the internet through a router with a firewall. I recently had problems with the Windows computers connecting to the linux box holding the rsync server and during my tests, I disabled the firewalls, which resolved the issues. I found the problem, but it got me thinking:

Is there a good reason to have the windows firewall running in a local network environment that is protected by a firewall from the outside?

Let me just say that I understand the risks of people hopping on through a wireless connection or other method. For the sake of this question, I'm more curious about potential risks involving the existing networked computers.

Very interested to hear any responses.

Laptop acting as server

I've been having awful bandwidth problems and after talking to Sky techs I now find that my pc is acting as a server but I have no idea why. Can anyone help with this?

Connection Issues

I'm starting to have Connection issues. I load up my firefox or internet Explore and they just sit there Looking or Connecting. I get server timed out.

I haven't done anything to my settings. I was playing online for a few hours then these issues started to happen.

I have reset my router through my router page released and renewed ip address and reset my modem as well.

The other day I ran a full system scan using Spyware doctor and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, did find a RootKit and removed it and some tracking cookies as well.

I also have a 10meg internet line and a 1gig router.

Is there any thing I can run for internet software, maybe some settings have changed.

No Connection wireless between router and laptop

Hi can you help.

A friend of mine cannot connect wirelessly to the her internet. She bought a new router thinking that the router was at fault as she was able to pick up signals from other routers in the area.

The new Belkin router was set up but still no joy. There is no Sky TV or anything like that.

The wireless switch on the front of the laptop is activated.

The information on the Acer Laptop:

Inetel PRO/Wireless 2200BG (802.11b/g WLAN), Wi-Fi, WPA support

If you have any ideas please let me know.

my uncle has a dynamode wireless modem set up in his house..recently he has bought a laptop which he wants to connect to the network but cannot remember what he set as his network password whether it was the default password or one he set up himself..does anyone know the address of the admin panel for the router so he can go in and change the password for his network..if not how can i get his laptop connecvted to his network? thanks....gerard
